Dema One
Striving to make the world a more beautiful place every single day
Dema is a Belgian with Moroccan roots and is working as a calligrapher since more than 28 years. He participated in many artistic and urban projects, as well in Belgium as abroad (Europe, United States, Africa, South-America). In 2014, he also had the opportunity to participate in « Rehltana – World record graffiti » in Dubai. His artwork reflects his life experience and always carries a universal philosophic message. His works are a creative mix of old and new and sensitize a broad public of all ages and cultures.
STUDIO
Dema One works in the public sphere. His work is not signed and he doesn’t claim ownership upon them. He works for the people and most of the time, with the people. This idea of democratising art extends to his studio space. He works from a warehouse in Belgium Avenue in Brussels where the door is always open. He wants people to be able to visit him at any time and witness the way he works. The studio space is a reflection of what he does in public.
